Or How to Knock About 50c a Litre Off the Price Of Fuel
First and foremost this debate should be centred on Diesel NOT Unleaded. Why? You may ask. Just look at the increase in supermarket prices for your answer. While it may cost you $5 or $10 extra to fill your tank everything that is transported (which is everything) rises as Diesel rises. My average basket at the supermarket per week has increased on average $30 and that’s for one person. Australia’s whole economy is tied to Diesel and therefore it should be afforded the same priority and status as water i.e. an essential commodity. Read more download PDF here...

The park will be holding a Mountain bike race for the weekend of 10th of May 2008 for the lunatic fringe festival endurance mountain bike event.
Many of the tracks will be being used as well as the access roads and driveway, any customers wishing to stay that weekend, should be aware of cyclists on these roads when arriving and departing. The main MX Track and Endure loop will be open for use for this weekend. Thankyou.

Well things have been really picking up on the 4X4 Front, thank you to those who have come and supported the park and have discovered it is delightfully like no other park. 4x4 numbers are up and we have had great reports from many clubs. In the last 12 months we have been doing erosion control on all the old tracks and although the rollovers may be too large for many modern allwheel drivers, the access around Emu Creek Extreme Retreat is greatly improved. We have some new Pick nicking sites including Girard Falls and Weeping Falls as well as new lookout areas. We do allow unregistered 4WD's on the property and they have separate camping areas. Driving at the Park will now have the restriction of, no driving in wet weather, so as not to damage unnecessarily our tracks.
Next is to clear the rest of the old tracks that are more natural terrain in between our linking tracks for your enjoyment. Basically now, if you have some clearance such as a ute you can access 80% of our 4x4 tracks.
If you are into true 4WDing and not just towing a trailer on a dirt road then get in here. We are not BlackDuck, your holiday is separated from the bikes, show us what you want. You will Love it.

We have run some Women's training weekends in the past, These days we find One On One with the girls or one on three much more beneficial to their improvement. Days can be organized with varying levels of coaching with many coaches to choose from, who are approachable and easy going. Don't be afraid to come to staff for pointers or mechanical advice yourself. |

Most weekends now a Staff member is available to take riders free of charge on a guided tour or the Park utilising the 4x4 land, Girard Falls, Weeping Falls on faster flowing tracks. These rides help build confidence on your off road ability as staff are near at hand to help and give pointers. These rides Leave often at 1pm and sometimes early morning. Guided 4X4 Tagalongs are also available depending on time and the condition of our 4x4. |

Out Trails will now be run off the park as guided tours. Stay tuned to our guided tour page. Non GPS tours of the surrounding state forests bush land and Neighbouring Station available to groups with registered and unregistered bikes, Be Guided hassle free to the Cateract River, Historic Gold Mines and "Top of the world" Mountain rock formation in full day or half-day trips. Bookings essential, Mid week easier. $20 Rods Loop, $30/Half day, $50 /day includes a splash of fuel, per rider. |

Returning for the Annual "Emu Chase" 3hr Ironman Enduro X, TBA, 2009 We Hope. Emu Creek Extreme Retreat are looking for a club to run the emu chase as a MA Event for 2009. We hav heaps of interest from riders in the event and are prepared to donate the venue to any club or promotor who can run this great event respectably. Trials - We need a cheep trials bike, if anybody has a decent one for under $3000, please contact us. We want to start riding more trials, and so should you! |
